Draamaan is a fictional archipelago and maritime civilization in a fantasy world. Located along a busy maritime corridor between temperate highlands and tropical coasts, the Draaman Archipelago comprises nine major islands and numerous islets, with rugged shores, coral reefs, and protected harbors that support a vibrant shipping and fishing economy. The climate is warm and humid, with a pronounced wet season.

Draamaan has no central sovereign; it is governed as a loose confederation of city-states bound by customary maritime law and a common market. Policy is coordinated by the Assembly of Tides, a rotating council drawn from principal cities, while local councils manage daily affairs. Defense rests on naval patrols and mutual aid.

The economy is trade-driven, anchored by shipbuilding, fisheries, and the exchange of spices, timber, and metals. Starfall Bazaars serve as major markets, and a local coinage called the dra circulates alongside barter in many ports. Infrastructure includes lighthhouses, shipyards, and coastal ropeways.

Culturally, Draamaan is cosmopolitan, shaped by traders, sailors, and artisans. Draaman serves as the lingua franca in ports, though regional dialects endure. Religion is diverse, with maritime cults, ancestor veneration, and sun temples coexisting with minority faiths. Literacy and crafts, particularly metalwork and weaving, are highly valued.
