Domácnostiach

Domácnostiach is the locative plural form of the Slovak noun domácnosť, which denotes the household or the domestic sphere. The base word domácnosť can refer to the state of being at home, to the people living in a dwelling, or more broadly to domestic life and the management of a home. The term is built from the root related to home and the abstract noun suffix -nosť, and it shares its origin with related words in other Slavic languages.

The locative plural form domácnostiach is used after prepositions such as v or o to indicate location or topic, for example v domácnostiach (in households) or o domácnostiach (about households). In written Slovak, this form appears frequently in statistical, sociological, and economic contexts when discussing households as social or economic units.
