Novak Djokovic, born 22 May 1987 in Belgrade, Serbia, is a professional tennis player who is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of the sport. Known by the nickname Nole, he has spent a record number of weeks ranked world No. 1 by the ATP and has won numerous major titles across all surfaces. Djokovic turned professional in 2003 and developed a game built on a tenacious baseline, exceptional movement, and a world-class return of serve.

He has claimed multiple Grand Slam singles titles across the four majors and won the Olympic singles gold medal in 2008 in Beijing. Djokovic completed the career Grand Slam in 2016 by winning the French Open, joining a select group of players who have won all four major championships in their careers.
