Dipolfält

Dipolfält refers to the region of space surrounding an electric dipole where its electric field is present. An electric dipole consists of two equal and opposite charges, typically a positive and a negative charge, separated by a small distance. The electric field lines originate from the positive charge and terminate on the negative charge, creating a characteristic pattern.

The strength of the dipolfält decreases with distance from the dipole, generally following an inverse cube law. This means that at twice the distance, the field strength is eight times weaker. The direction of the dipolfält at any point is tangent to the electric field line passing through that point. Near the charges, the field is strong and resembles the fields of individual point charges. As the distance increases, the combined effect of the two charges becomes more apparent, and the field lines curve and spread out.
