Dicewaarden

Dicewaarden is a term that refers to the numerical outcomes of rolling dice. When one or more dice are rolled, the resulting face-up numbers are known as the dicewaarden. The specific values that can appear are determined by the number of sides on the die. For instance, a standard six-sided die, often denoted as a d6, can produce dicewaarden of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6. Dice with different numbers of sides, such as a d4 (four-sided), d8 (eight-sided), d10 (ten-sided), d12 (twelve-sided), or d20 (twenty-sided), will have a corresponding range of possible dicewaarden.

In many games, the sum or combination of multiple dicewaarden is used to determine the success or failure of an action, the damage dealt, or movement. For example, in role-playing games, rolling two ten-sided dice (2d10) and summing their dicewaarden is a common mechanic for resolving skill checks.
