DiSEqCkontrollere

DiSEqCkontrollere are electronic devices used in satellite television systems to control satellite dishes and LNBs (Low-Noise Block downconverters). DiSEqC, which stands for Digital Satellite Equipment Control, is a standard protocol developed by Eutelsat that allows a single coaxial cable to carry both the satellite signal and control commands from the receiver to the dish. A DiSEqC controller is typically integrated within a satellite receiver or can be a standalone unit that is connected between the receiver and the LNB.

These controllers enable the satellite receiver to send specific commands to the LNB and motorized dish. This allows the user to switch between different satellite polarizations (horizontal and vertical), frequency bands (low and high), and even to control the movement of a motorized dish to select different satellites without needing multiple coaxial cables. The commands are sent as digital pulses superimposed on the satellite signal itself.

DiSEqC controllers come in different versions, with DiSEqC 1.0 being the most basic, supporting switching of up to four LNBs. DiSEqC 1.1 allows for up to sixteen LNBs. DiSEqC 2.0 adds two-way communication, allowing the LNB to send information back to the receiver. More advanced versions like DiSEqC 3.0 and subsequent implementations offer enhanced features and compatibility. The use of DiSEqC controllers simplifies installation and provides greater flexibility for users with multi-satellite reception setups.
