Detruoris is a fictional realm used in fantasy and speculative fiction. In most depictions it is a harsh, resource-rich world where magic and rudimentary technology coexist, and where political power shifts among city-states, guilds, and fragmented kingdoms. The setting is intentionally pluralistic, allowing authors to place Detruoris in different eras and genres.

The name Detruoris appears across several works and is interpreted differently by authors. Some narratives treat it as a compound of ancient roots meaning "land of upheaval," while others use it as a proper toponym with little etymological explanation. Because of its varied use, Detruoris is not tied to a single canonical lore.

Most renditions describe Detruoris as comprising three main landmasses surrounding a central sea, with archipelagos to the north. The climate ranges from tundra in the north to volcanic deserts in the south, with temperate hills and iron-rich highlands in between.
