Deductiva

Deductiva is the feminine form of the Spanish adjective deductivo, used to describe things related to deduction or deductive reasoning. In scholarly and everyday language, the term signals a focus on deriving conclusions from general principles or premises according to established rules.

In logic and philosophy, deductiva refers to reasoning where conclusions necessarily follow from given premises. If the premises are true and the reasoning is valid, the conclusion is guaranteed. This contrasts with inductiva reasoning, which generalizes from specific observations, and with abductiva reasoning, which infers the best overall explanation. Deductive reasoning is central to formal proofs, demonstrations, and the validation of theorems.
