Deal

Deal is a term with several distinct meanings. It can denote a negotiated agreement between people or organizations; the act or process of distributing playing cards in a game; or a type of softwood lumber known as deal. It is also the name of a coastal town in Kent, England.

Deal is a town and port on the southeast coast of England, in the district of Dover, Kent. Located on the English Channel, it has a maritime history dating to medieval times. Notable features include Deal Castle, a Tudor fortress built by Henry VIII, and a long seafront promenade that runs along the shoreline.

Deal wood refers to softwood boards, typically pine or fir, used in construction and packaging. It is cut to standard thicknesses and widths and is less finished than higher-grade timber, often serving as framing material, crates, or subflooring in various regions.
