Core workflows include data acquisition, quality control, alignment to reference genomes, variant calling, assembly, annotation, expression quantification, and downstream analyses. Integration with phenotypic, clinical, or environmental data is common, often using pipelines and scalable computing frameworks.

Methods and applications in datagenomics encompass statistical genetics, population genomics, phylogenomics, functional genomics, and translational research. Machine learning and AI are used for predicting phenotypes, identifying regulatory elements, improving variant interpretation, and building predictive models.
