Dalsárdalur

Dalsárdalur is a valley in a Nordic region, named after the Dalsá river that runs through it. The element dalur means valley in the local language, so the name identifies a river valley carved by glacial and fluvial forces. The valley is bounded by surrounding mountains and includes open meadows as well as stands of woodland.

Geography and environment: The valley extends across several kilometers and experiences a cool, moist climate. The Dalsá provides wetland and riparian habitats along its course.
