Dalnport is a fictional coastal city and major port in the southeastern region of Veridia. It serves as the administrative center of the Dal District and a key hub for regional trade, logistics, and culture. The city sits at the mouth of the Dal River, where saltwater tides meet an inland delta. The population is around 110,000.

Geography and climate: The harbor is sheltered by extensive breakwaters; the urban footprint covers about 42 square kilometers. The climate is temperate maritime, with mild winters and cool summers, influenced by prevailing westerlies. The delta supports wetlands and a network of canals within the harbor area.

History: Dalnport traces its origins to a 12th-century fishing village. It expanded after a medieval trade charter and grew as a river-port connected to rail networks in the 19th century. The late 20th century saw port modernization, container handling facilities, and a riverfront redevelopment.

Economy and infrastructure: The city hosts fishing, shipbuilding, and logistics firms, along with light manufacturing and services. Transport and landmarks: Dalnport is connected by rail to regional networks and by a ring road plus a modern port freeway. The harbor features the Dalnport Pier and the Northbreak Lighthouse. The city is served by an airport 25 kilometers away.
