Dallia
Dallia is a genus of freshwater fishes in the pike family Esocidae. The genus is named in honor of the American naturalist William Healey Dall. Dallia is native to Arctic and subarctic regions of North America and northern Asia, including parts of Alaska, Canada, and Siberia. Species inhabit cold, clear freshwater environments such as lakes, slow rivers, and wetlands, often under ice during winter. They are generally slender, with an elongated body, a large mouth with sharp teeth, and fins positioned in a way that is typical of esocids.
Dallia species are predatory, feeding on smaller fishes and aquatic invertebrates. They display seasonal activity patterns
Conservation and research: Dallia fishes are not major targets of commercial fisheries, but they are of ecological
