Cunigunde
Cunigunde, also known as Saint Cunigunde of Luxembourg, was a medieval empress and saint. Born around 975 AD, she was the daughter of Count Siegfried of Luxembourg and Hedwig of Nordgau. She married Henry II, who would later become Holy Roman Emperor. As empress, Cunigunde played a significant role in her husband's reign. She was known for her piety and devout Catholic faith.
Following the death of her husband in 1024, Cunigunde initially served as regent for the Holy Roman
Cunigunde was canonized as a saint by Pope Innocent III in 1200. Her feast day is celebrated
