Cryptodevices

Cryptodevices are hardware devices designed to perform cryptographic operations. These operations can include encryption, decryption, digital signing, and key generation. Cryptodevices are often used to secure sensitive data, authenticate users, and ensure the integrity of digital transactions. They are distinct from software-based cryptography in that they implement cryptographic functions in dedicated hardware, offering a higher level of security and performance.

Common types of cryptodevices include Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), smart cards, and trusted platform modules (TPMs).
