Cristianisme

Cristianisme is a monotheistic religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth, whom Christians believe to be the Son of God and the Messiah prophesied in the Old Testament. The central tenets of Christianity revolve around the belief in one God, who exists as a Trinity: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. Christians believe that Jesus' death and resurrection offer salvation and eternal life to those who have faith in him.

The Christian Bible is comprised of two parts: the Old Testament, which is also sacred to Judaism, and the New Testament, which details the life of Jesus, the early Christian church, and theological teachings. Key figures in Christianity include Abraham, Moses, and the apostles, particularly Peter and Paul. Major holidays include Christmas, celebrating Jesus' birth, and Easter, commemorating his resurrection.

Christianity is the world's largest religion, with adherents found across the globe. It is divided into several major branches, including Catholicism, Protestantism, and Eastern Orthodoxy, each with its own distinct traditions, interpretations of scripture, and organizational structures. Despite these differences, a core set of beliefs unites most Christians. The faith emphasizes love, forgiveness, compassion, and service to others.
