Criptana

Criptana is a municipality in the province of Ciudad Real, in Castilla-La Mancha, Spain. It forms part of the Campo de Criptana comarca and lies in the historic region of La Mancha, an area known for its broad plains and extensive cereal production. The town is perched near a hill called La Muela, where a group of windmills dominates the landscape and has long been a symbol of the area.

The local economy is mainly agricultural, with cereals, vineyards and olive cultivation playing important roles.
