Cotai
Cotai is a district in the Macau Special Administrative Region of China, built on reclaimed land between Taipa and Coloane. The name Cotai combines Coloane and Taipa, reflecting its location and development as a single resort corridor. Beginning in the late 1990s, the area was opened to large-scale tourism and gaming development as part of Macau's strategy to broaden its economy beyond the historic peninsula.
Cotai is dominated by integrated resorts and hotel complexes along what is known as the Cotai Strip.
