Cosmodrooms
Cosmodrooms are modular, standardized living and working units designed for use in spacecraft, space stations, and extraterrestrial habitats. They are designed to be self-contained yet interoperable, allowing multiple rooms to be linked to form larger habitats and to be swapped or reconfigured as mission needs change. Each cosmodroom typically provides sleeping quarters, a work area, storage, and access to life-support interfaces. They are designed for microgravity and hostile environments, with considerations for noise reduction, radiation shielding, thermal control, and reliable lightweight construction.
A cosmodroom comprises an atmospheric module with air circulation, CO2 removal, humidity control, and water recycling
Origin and usage: The term is used in contemporary space architecture discourse and in speculative fiction
Variations can include sleeping cosmodrooms, lab cosmodrooms, medical cosmodrooms, and command cosmodrooms, each optimized for its
