Corpusanalüüsi, often translated as corpus analysis, is a research methodology used in linguistics and other fields to study language through the examination of large collections of texts, known as corpora. These corpora can consist of spoken or written language, and are often compiled in a systematic way to represent a particular genre, time period, or variety of language. The fundamental principle of corpus analysis is that by analyzing a sufficiently large and representative sample of language use, patterns and tendencies in how language is actually used can be identified and quantified.
