Convenies is a term used in contemporary urban design and speculative planning to describe portable, modular micro-infrastructure units that provide a bundled set of amenities in public spaces. The concept envisions compact, self-contained modules that can be deployed quickly to support retail, information, shelter, or basic services. The name signals their role as adaptable nodes within dense urban fabric.

A convenie typically consists of a modular pod or containerized unit, often mounted on a trailer or low-profile chassis for mobility. Core systems may include solar-powered electricity storage, water supply or filtration, basic climate control, lighting, Wi-Fi, and configurable interior space that can function as seating, retail, or information counters.

Applications include temporary markets, disaster response shelters, event spaces, or pilot urbanism projects intended to test new forms of mobility and service delivery in public space.

Benefits include rapid deployment, lower upfront investment relative to permanent infrastructure, and flexibility to relocate or repurpose.
