Coachingsmodellen are frameworks that guide the coaching process, providing structure and direction for both the coach and the coachee. These models are not rigid rules but rather adaptable tools that help facilitate effective coaching conversations. They often outline key stages, essential questions, and the coach's role at different points in the engagement.

One of the most widely recognized models is GROW. GROW stands for Goal, Reality, Options, and Will. In the Goal phase, the coach helps the coachee define what they want to achieve. The Reality phase involves exploring the current situation and understanding obstacles. Options focuses on brainstorming potential solutions and strategies. Finally, Will addresses the commitment and action plan the coachee will take.

Another common approach is the OSKAR model, which stands for Outcome, Situation, Knowledge, Options, and Review. OSKAR shares similarities with GROW but places a strong emphasis on the coachee's existing knowledge and resources. It also includes a dedicated Review phase to assess progress and adjust the plan.

Other coaching models exist, each with its unique nuances and areas of focus. Some models are more focused on specific types of coaching, such as executive coaching or life coaching, while others offer a more generalist approach. The choice of model often depends on the coach's training, the coachee's needs, and the specific objectives of the coaching relationship. Ultimately, effective coaching involves selecting and adapting a model that best serves the coachee's development and empowers them to achieve their desired outcomes.
