ClermontFerrand
Clermont-Ferrand is a city in central France, the prefecture of the Puy-de-Dôme department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. It lies at the foot of the volcanic Chaîne des Puys and near the Limagne plain, on a basaltic plateau formed by ancient lava flows. The city proper has around 140,000 inhabitants, with a larger urban area extending beyond the municipality.
