Chronostratigraphically

Chronostratigraphically refers to the arrangement and interpretation of rock strata based on their absolute geologic time. It is a branch of stratigraphy that seeks to establish a framework for the Earth's history by dating rock layers and their contained fossils. Chronostratigraphy is concerned with the physical bodies of rock that represent specific intervals of geologic time, known as chronostratigraphic units.
