Chestburster

Chestburster is a term used in the science-fiction franchise Alien to describe the early larval form of the extraterrestrial xenomorph species. In the series, a chestburster develops inside a host after a facehugger implants an embryo, typically following a sequence of parasitic reproduction. After a short incubation period, the chestburster erupts violently from the host's chest, usually killing the host. The newborn creature then rapidly matures into an adult xenomorph, capable of continuing the lifecycle.

The chestburster is depicted as a small, writhing organism that emerges from the host in a dramatic, often violent eruption. It initially remains small and vulnerable, but grows quickly, becoming a full-grown xenomorph within hours in most portrayals.
