Chellah
Chellah is a medieval fortified royal necropolis and archaeological site located in Rabat, Morocco. Situated on a hill overlooking the Bou Regreg River, it was once a thriving Roman city known as Sala Colonia. After the Romans abandoned the site, it was reoccupied by Berbers and later by Arabs, who transformed it into a significant religious and political center.
