Chandrapur
Chandrapur is a city in the eastern Indian state of Maharashtra and serves as the administrative headquarters of Chandrapur district in the Vidarbha region. It lies on the banks of the Wardha River and is known for its mineral-rich surroundings, which have long influenced the area's development. Historically, the city and district were part of the Central Provinces; it was commonly referred to as Chanda during the colonial era and was later renamed Chandrapur.
