Cerran

Cerran is a town and civil parish in the rural region of Veridia. Located along the Lumer River, it sits about 25 kilometers south of the regional capital. The surrounding countryside consists mainly of farms, orchards, and vineyards, with a historic center at its core.

The name Cerran derives from the old Cerrin language, meaning "bright hill," a reference to a local escarpment.

Cerran has medieval origins, with records dating to the 11th century and a market charter granted in the 15th. The arrival of the railway in the 1870s spurred growth in agriculture-based industry and trade. In the modern era it developed a diversified economy centered on farming, small-scale manufacture, and rural tourism.
