Cellgrupp, Swedish for "cell group," is a small, informal gathering of Christian believers that functions within the broader context of a church or faith community. The concept has its origins in early Christian house churches and has been revitalized in contemporary churches, particularly within Evangelicalism and Pentecostalism, as a way to foster deeper relationships, discipleship, and communal support outside of the formal worship setting.

A typical cellgrupp meets in homes, offices, or other modest venues, usually on a weekly basis. Membership typically ranges from five to twelve people, allowing for intimate discussion of Scripture, prayer, and personal life challenges. Leadership is often shared among members or taken by a designated facilitator, promoting accountability and shared stewardship. Some churches provide a structured curriculum or study guides, while others adopt a more organic, conversation-led format.

The primary objectives of a cellgrupp include spiritual formation, social support, and outreach. By engaging in regular study of biblical texts, members build their theological understanding and apply teachings to everyday life.
