Causetoinspired (often written causet-inspired) refers to research, models, and approaches that are motivated by causal set theory (CST), a program in quantum gravity. The term denotes work that adopts the core CST ideas—spacetime as a discrete set of events ordered by causality—without requiring full commitment to CST as a formal framework. Causetoinspired work uses these principles to explore the emergence of spacetime and quantum gravity phenomena.

In CST, the fundamental structure is a causet, a locally finite partially ordered set whose elements represent spacetime events and whose order encodes causal relations.
