CERTFI

CERT-FI, also written CERTFI, is Finland's national Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT). It serves as the central point for coordinating and communicating about cyber security incidents affecting the Finnish government and critical information infrastructure. It provides incident response support, threat intelligence, and information sharing to public and private sector organizations, researchers, and individuals.

Operations include monitoring cyber threat landscapes, receiving and triaging incident reports, coordinating response among affected parties, and publishing security advisories, best practices, and guidance to reduce risk.

It also engages in vulnerability coordination, working with software vendors and service providers to mitigate vulnerabilities, and conducts exercises and awareness programs to improve resilience.

Internationally, CERT-FI collaborates with CERT communities and European Union agencies such as ENISA and FIRST to share indicators, advisories, and mitigation techniques.

CERT-FI was established to enhance Finland's cyber resilience and operates within the country's cybersecurity framework in cooperation with governmental authorities and critical infrastructure operators.
