CEFRtasemetele

CEFRtasemetele is a term used primarily in speculative discussions and some educational technology pilots to describe a proposed synthesis of the CEFR with task- and portfolio-based assessment paradigms. The coinage is not part of official CEFR documentation and there is no formal standardization. Proponents argue that the concept could provide a more flexible, evidence-driven approach to language learning that remains anchored in the CEFR levels.

In the imagined framework, CEFRtasemetele would retain the CEFR's reference levels (A1 to C2) but extend them with a mapped set of task types, performance indicators, and evidence requirements. Descriptors would cover speaking, listening, reading, writing, plus pragmatic and intercultural competences, digital literacies, and contextual factors. Assessment would combine direct observation of tasks, rubric-based judgments, and learner portfolios to document progress across contexts.

Status and reception: CEFRtasemetele is not officially adopted by the Council of Europe or by major linguistic associations. It appears mainly in scholarly articles, conference discussions, and pilot programs. Practitioners who experiment with it emphasize consistency with CEFR-friendly descriptors and the use of portfolios to capture real-world communication, while cautioning that lack of validation and standard procedures can hinder comparability.
