CCITT
CCITT, short for Comité Consultatif International Téléphonique et Télégraphique, was an international standards body within the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) responsible for telecommunications standardization, particularly for telephone and telex networks. It published international recommendations, known as CCITT Recommendations, to ensure interoperability of equipment and networks worldwide.
