Broilerit
Broilerit is a term used in Finland to refer to chickens raised specifically for meat production. These birds are bred for rapid growth and efficient feed conversion, allowing them to reach market weight in a relatively short period, typically between six to eight weeks. Unlike laying hens, broiler chickens are optimized for muscle development rather than egg production. The breed of chicken commonly used for broiler production is the Cornish Cross or similar hybrid strains.
