BroadcastSetups refer to the arrangement of equipment, networking, and workflows used to capture, process, encode, and deliver video and audio content for broadcast or streaming. These setups encompass studio environments, field productions, and hybrid configurations, aimed at producing reliable live or on-demand output.

A typical studio setup includes cameras, lenses, tripods or pedestals, and a video switcher or production switcher to select and route video feeds. A separate audio mixer or console handles microphone and line-level signals, supported by appropriate mics, headphones, and IFB or intercom systems for communication. Lighting is used to achieve consistent image quality, while monitors provide real-time playback and quality control. Supporting systems include teleprompters, graphics generators, and playback servers. In recent years, IP-based workflows have integrated encoders, decoders, and control surfaces over networks, with standards like SDI, HDMI, NDI, and Dante for video and audio transport.

Field or remote setups are designed for portability and may rely on compact cameras, portable switchers, wireless audio, battery power, and mobile encoders. Such configurations often use small studios on wheels, live trucks, or compact streaming rigs that connect to cloud-based production or CDN services.

Common considerations cover signal integrity, redundancy, power management, cooling, and cable management. Monitoring, logging, and quality control are essential for ensuring reliable output. Vendors and workflows may vary, but many setups emphasize modular components, scalable IP-based infrastructure, and flexibility to support live, on-demand, and hybrid broadcast scenarios.
