Brjóstalækkun
Brjóstalækkun, also known as breast lift surgery, is a cosmetic procedure designed to reshape and lift sagging breasts. This sagging, or ptosis, can occur due to aging, pregnancy, breastfeeding, significant weight loss, or genetics. The primary goal of brjóstalækkun is to reposition the nipple and areola to a more youthful and aesthetically pleasing location, and to remove excess skin, thereby tightening the breast tissue.
The surgery typically involves making incisions around the areola, extending downwards, or in an inverted T-shape.
Recovery time varies but usually involves several weeks of restricted activity. Bruising and swelling are common
