Bretonnian

Bretonnia is a feudal kingdom in the Warhammer Fantasy setting, renowned for its chivalry, knights, and deeply ingrained peasant loyalty. Its society is structured around a strict hierarchy with the King at its apex, followed by Dukes, Counts, Barons, and landed knights. Below them are the free folk and, at the bottom, the serfs who work the land. Bretonnian culture places immense value on honor, virtue, and the code of chivalry, particularly amongst its knightly orders. These knights are the backbone of the Bretonnian military, famed for their devastating charges on horseback.

The kingdom is a land of rolling hills, fertile plains, and ancient forests, though it is often beset by threats from without and within. The proximity to the dark forests of the Empire and the Savage Orcs of the Southlands means constant warfare. Internally, the kingdom grapples with the potential for heresy, the influence of powerful Damsels who wield magic, and the ever-present threat of the Greenskins and other monstrous foes. The Bretonnians are devout followers of the Lady of the Lake, a mysterious and powerful entity who blesses worthy knights and guides the kingdom. Their faith is a cornerstone of their identity and a source of strength against the darkness that surrounds them.
