Bracknell

Bracknell is a large town and civil parish in the borough of Bracknell Forest in Berkshire, England. It is located in the Thames Valley, approximately 30 miles west of London and 7 miles southeast of Reading. The town has a population of around 80,000 people.

Historically, Bracknell was a small village with agricultural roots. Its significant development began in the mid-20th century when it was designated as a New Town. This led to rapid expansion and the construction of a modern town centre, housing estates, and industrial areas. Today, Bracknell is a vibrant economic hub, particularly known for its technology sector, with many businesses and corporate offices located in and around the town.

The town centre features a modern shopping complex, The Lexicon, which offers a wide range of retail outlets, restaurants, and leisure facilities. Bracknell also boasts several green spaces, including Crown Wood and the Look Out Discovery Centre, which provides educational and recreational activities.
