Bladderpods
Bladderpods are a group of flowering plants belonging to the genus Isomeris within the family Capparaceae. Historically, they were often placed in the related family Brassicaceae due to similarities in flower structure. The most well-known species is Isomeris arborea, commonly called the bladderpod or the four-winged bladderpod. This species is native to arid and semi-arid regions of western North America, including California, Arizona, and Baja California.
Isomeris arborea is an evergreen shrub that typically grows to be about one to two meters tall.
Bladderpods are well-adapted to dry environments. They are drought-tolerant and often found in rocky or sandy
