Bismarckia is a genus of flowering plants in the palm family, Arecaceae. It is native to Madagascar. The genus currently contains only one accepted species, Bismarckia nobilis. This palm is known for its striking appearance, featuring a stout, solitary trunk and large, fan-shaped leaves. The trunk is typically gray and can reach heights of up to 20 meters. The leaves, or fronds, are silvery-blue to green and can grow up to 3 meters in diameter, with stiff segments radiating from the center.
