Bioturvalliset

Bioturvalliset is a Finnish term that translates to "biosafety" in English. It refers to the set of measures and practices implemented to prevent the unintended release of biological agents or toxins into the environment and to protect people from potential harm caused by these agents. This concept is crucial in various settings, including research laboratories, healthcare facilities, agricultural operations, and industrial processes that handle microorganisms, viruses, genetically modified organisms, or other biological materials.

The core principles of biosafety involve containment and inactivation.
