Bildarchive
Bildarchive, or image archives, are organized repositories of visual media such as photographs, drawings, maps, and other graphic materials. They are designed to store, preserve and provide access to images for research, education, journalism and cultural heritage. Bildarchive may be physical or digital, but are increasingly digital, often functioning as part of a library, museum, archive, media organization, or a dedicated stock image service. They typically include metadata describing each item—title, creator, date, subjects, and rights status—to enable search and reuse.
