Bikarbonaatidel
Bikarbonaatidel, more commonly known as bicarbonates, are a group of chemical compounds that contain the bicarbonate ion (HCO3-). This ion is formed when a carbonate ion (CO32-) accepts a proton. Bicarbonates are often found as salts, where the bicarbonate ion is paired with a positively charged cation. Common examples include sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3), also known as baking soda, and potassium bicarbonate (KHCO3).
In aqueous solutions, bicarbonates can act as both weak acids and weak bases, making them important buffering
Bicarbonates have a wide range of applications. Sodium bicarbonate is extensively used in baking, as a leavening
