Berenik, also known as Berenice II, was a queen of the Ptolemaic Kingdom, ruling alongside her husband and brother Ptolemy III Euergetes from approximately 246 to 221 BCE. She played a significant role in the political and cultural life of her era, particularly during the Third Syrian War against the Seleucid Empire.
