Bauges

Bauges refers to the Massif des Bauges, a mountain range in the western Alps of southeastern France. The range lies in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region and spans parts of the Savoie and Haute-Savoie departments. It forms a distinct limestone massif in the Alpine foothills, characterized by rounded ridges, glacial valleys, and a landscape that shifts from beech forests at lower elevations to alpine meadows higher up.
