Basqueadjacent is a term used in sociolinguistics and anthropology to refer to people, communities, and cultural or linguistic phenomena that are closely associated with the Basque language and Basque culture without the speakers or groups identifying as Basque themselves. Linguistic and cultural features labeled Basqueadjacent may include Basque loanwords in local varieties of Spanish or French, toponymy and naming practices, shared festival calendars, and culinary or artisanal traditions with Basque roots. It can also refer to individuals who identify culturally with Basque heritage through family history, memory, or participation in cultural associations, even if they do not speak Basque fluently.

Critiques note that Basqueadjacent is not a fixed category and may blur lines between language, ethnicity, and culture. Researchers often prefer more precise descriptors such as Basque-influenced, Basque-leaning, or Basque diaspora to avoid essentializing identities.
