Baseball pitches are the array of pitches thrown by a baseball player in a game of baseball. The type and speed of the pitch determine the trajectory of the ball as it reaches the batter, affecting the pitch's success in reaching the strike zone and resulting in a swing or a miss. The design of a pitch often relies on the batter's reaction time and the batter's ability to guess the pitch's speed and trajectory.

Pitch classes are typically narrowed down to three broad categories: fastballs, off-speed pitches, and breaking balls. Fastballs are thrown with high speed, attempting to intimidate the batter and making it difficult for them to react at close distance. Off-speed pitches have slower speeds compared to fastballs, allowing the pitch to be thrown into slower domains giving the batter a better chance to react. Breaking pitches swing downwards quickly, while others swing upwards quickly; the batter has to successfully judge the curve in the trajectory to connect the pitch.

Some specific varieties of pitches in baseball are changeup, curveball, cutter, forkball, and knuckleball. The changeup has a lower speed compared to the four-seam fastball; it reduces the batter's predictability in anticipation. Curveballs are designed to spin creating upwards. They are harder to be hit when falling angle increases since the ball would be out of the swing zone. An cutter pitch with existing spin tends to rotating left, dropping vertically first, and swings inward above.

These types of pitches are thrown during the baseball game with any one person giving different choice. Designing and executing pitches according to individual batter thinking and timing, the batter resultant gets an impact of the pitch through the baseball player's accuracy.
