Bandets

Bandets is a Swedish-language indie rock project that evolved into a five-member band. Formed in Stockholm in the mid-2010s, it began as a collaboration between guitarist-singer Lena Andersson and guitarist Erik Johansson, later adding Sofia Pettersson (drums), Jonas Lindqvist (bass), and Mikael Berg (keyboards). The group is known for blending intimate folk-influenced melodies with electronics and subtle percussion.

Their debut EP Skuggsång, released in 2015, established their approach: spare arrangements, close vocal harmonies, and modular synth textures. This was followed by the LP Mellan natt och dag (2017), which broadened their sound palette with richer production and ambient interludes. The band has since released several singles and EPs, and has performed across Scandinavia, sharing stages with other indie acts and appearing at regional festivals.

Lyrically, Bandets often explores memory, urban life, and personal relationships, using imagery drawn from night streets and quiet rooms. Critics have described their music as cohesive and emotionally direct, with praise for the band’s live chemistry and the balance between acoustic and electronic elements.
