Ballastplanering

Ballastplanering, often translated as ballast planning or stowage planning, is a critical process in maritime logistics concerning the distribution of cargo and ballast water within a vessel. Its primary objective is to ensure the ship's stability, safety, and seaworthiness throughout its voyage. This involves carefully considering the weight, density, and location of all loads, including cargo, fuel, water, and ballast.
