Aurinkolämpöjä

Aurinkolämpöjä refers to solar thermal energy, a technology that captures sunlight and converts it into usable heat. This heat can then be used for a variety of purposes, most commonly for domestic hot water heating and space heating. The fundamental principle behind aurinkolämpöjä systems involves collectors, often mounted on rooftops, that absorb solar radiation. Inside these collectors, a fluid, typically a water-glycol mixture, circulates and is heated by the sun's rays. This heated fluid is then transported to a storage tank, where it can be used as needed.

There are several types of solar thermal collectors. Flat-plate collectors are the most common for residential and commercial applications, consisting of an insulated box with a dark absorber plate and a transparent cover. Evacuated tube collectors are another type, utilizing a series of glass tubes with a vacuum in between to minimize heat loss, making them more efficient in colder climates.

The implementation of aurinkolämpöjä systems offers environmental benefits by reducing reliance on fossil fuels and lowering greenhouse gas emissions.
